  • 6-8 small white potatoes - cut in quarters

  • 2 packages of turkey Italian sausage - (8 links)

Instructions

1

Turn the oven on, set at 350 degrees.

2

Wash the white potatoes well. We'll be leaving the skins on the white ones but taking the skin off the sweet potatoes.

3

Have Mom help you cut the potatoes and sweet potatoes.

4

Place the potatoes in the pan. Make sure to leave a little room for the sausages.

5

Drizzle the oil over the potatoes. Add the thyme, garlic, onions and paprika.

6

Toss the potatoes and onions in the pan until the potatoes are lightly coated with oil.

7

Next, you're going to make cute little sausages out of the big ones. Sausages are made from ground meat and spices inside of casings. Gently squeeze each sausage in the middle so the meat moves over to the ends, and you will see the casing more clearly. Don't squeeze too hard because the meat can push out the ends!

8

With a gentle twist you can divide the sausage into two portions. Use kitchen scissors to cut each sausage in the middle, to leave you with two smaller sausages.

9

Nestle the little sausages into the bed of potatoes.

10

Put the pan in oven for about an hour. Bake until the potatoes are browned and the sausage is cooked through. Test the sausages by poking them with a fork. The sausages will be ready when the juice coming out is clear
