Skeleton Napkin Rings
Belle found some skeleton lolly pops where the head was a candy skull and the stick was the rest of the bones. When she finished the pop, here was a perfectly good plastic skeleton (minus the head of course).
We figured out a way to recycle the skeleton. We gave it a new head and a new purpose.
But don't run out to find those lollypops! You can draw your own ghosts, skulls, witches or black cats. Just look around and use your imagination.
Makes 8-10 scary napkin rings
You'll need:
- 1 - 8x10 inch sheet of black card stock (or a paper towel roll)
- Construction paper or printer paper
- Glue
- Glitter, sequins, markers or stickers
- Black or orange napkins
- Some adult help
Equipment:
- Cut a 1x6 inch strip from the card stock (or a 1 inch length of paper towel roll.)
- Roll the strip into a circle and staple it together.
- Decide on your decoration. It should be at least 2 1/2 inches big. Cut out white paper to make a ghost or a skull. Use orange to make a pumpkin or black to make a cat. Use glitter or markers to make each decoration unique.
- Attach the decoration to the ring by stapling it or glueing it.
Let the glue dry thoroughly before using.
- Open up the napkin, grab the middle and pull it through the ring.
- Place one napkin on each plate and your table will be ready for your guests.
