Matching Heart Fold Napkins and Placecards

Now that your Valentine's meal is ready, it's time to set the table. We have a simple origami fold that can be used on both paper and cloth. You can mix and match the patterns on the napkin and place card or stick to solid colors.

We used 2 by 2 inch origami paper but you might want to try a little larger square if this is your first time folding. You can find origami paper to purchase on-line at sites like Origami Corner.

You'll need:

  • Cloth napkins
  • Orgami Paper
  • White card stock or construction paper
  • A glue stick
  • A little adult help

Equipment:

  • Scissors
  1. Watch Livvy's folding technique in the video!
  2. The place cards start out as 4 by 3 inch rectangles of heavy white paper folded in half to make a 2 by 3 inch card.
  3. When you're finished folding, arrange the heart shaped napkin on the plate and set up a lovely placecard for each person.
